Bets in Roulette

In roulette, there are two basic bets. The inside bet and the outside bet. The inside bet is a bet that has a much lower chance of occurring but, as a result, has a very high payout on a win. An outside bet is a bet that has a greater probability of winning but also has a lower payout as a result.

In addition to the inside bet and outside bet there are a number of specific bets in roulette including the including the split bet, corner bet, and straight line bet. A corner bet is placed on a corner and covers four numbers while a split bet covers two. A straight line bet is where the bet is placed on a single number showing up. A straight line bet is the bet with the lowest probability of occurring and, as a result, has the greatest payout on a win.
